History of Champagne Services

Since 1981, Champagne Services has been providing residential cleaning services to Northern Virginia. Founded by Carrie Kiser, her husband David joined the business in 1982 and acquired a small commercial cleaning enterprise as well.

In 1986, the commercial business was sold. The residential side was entrusted to Carrie’s mother Vivian. David returned to the heavy mechanical industry (large boilers, HVAC and power plant operations) in sales and management. Carrie cared for their three small children, Brandy, Aubrey and Chase. As the children got older, Carrie returned to work as an Executive Secretary.

David and Carrie supported Champagne Services through the years by helping with sales or administration. In 1995 a new magazine published a survey and wrote an article about housecleaning in the Washington, D.C. area.  Champagne Services had been rated by our clients far and away the best company for price and quality.

In July of 1999, Carrie’s mother Vivian retired and asked David to return and take over the business. In doing so, David brought a new vision. Take the great reputation of Champagne Services and use it to elevate the entire residential cleaning industry. The hallmark was to treat people with dignity and respect.

Today that goal is being realized by Champagne Services being a Founding Member of the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI). David was the first ARCSI President. He has authored a book with several industry colleagues called The Professional House Cleaning Technicians Manual. It is a peer reviewed work that is being introduced at the 2011 ARCSI National Convention in Las Vegas.

Champagne Services has many milestones in setting the standard of cleaning homes. We continue that effort by introducing Chemical Free Cleaning to Northern Virginia. It is based on sound science and the use of state-of-the-art equipment and supplies. Chemical Free Cleaning is a game changer for the war on germs.
